Sep 10, 2018 (newstodate): The 12th Airbus A220-300 aircraft for Latvia's airBaltic is now in the air.
The aircraft performed its first flight on September 6, 2018, and is now amid its flight test program ahead of joining airBaltic's fleet.
At the same time, two more aircraft are now on the assembly line slated for delivery before the end of this year, fulfilling the earlier stated plan for airBaltic to have 14 A220-300 in service by end of 2018, and well underway to have all 20 deliveries in its initial order completed by the end of 2019.
Next to follow is then the start of deliveries under a fresh firm purchase agreement signed on May 28, 2018, for another batch of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.
