Aug 27, 2018 (newstodate): Launch operator of the Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighter, the Swedish/British carrier West Atlantic has now taken delivery of its second of four aircraft ordered.
The new delivery was completed on August 24, 2018, with the aircraft landing at the UK British Midlands Airport after ferry flight from Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services, in China, via Almaty and Sofia.
According to the latest revised delivery scheme, the third aircraft will arrive at British Midlands in November 2018, with the last delivery slated for February 2019.
Leased from GECAS, the Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighter with a large cargo door is equipped with CFM56-7B engines, and will carry up to 23.9 tonnes of cargo with 12 main deck positions over 2,000 nautical miles.
