Aug 21, 2018 (newstodate): Poltava Airport, in Ukraine, has handled its first international flight for more than three decades.
So far used only for charter flights, Poltava Airport welcomed Air Urga on a SAAB 340B flight from Frankfurt to Poltava chartered by a Ukrainian football club.
The airport has one 2,600m runway and was earlier handling up to 60 daily flights, but has seen little commercial traffic since the 80'ies.
