Aug 03, 2018 (newstodate): The 11th Airbus A220-300 aircraft for Latvia's airBaltic is now eagerly awaiting its first flight.
The aircraft has left the assembly line and is on the flight line for start of the flight test program.
airBaltic took delivery of its 10th aircraft on July 19, 2018, and is seemingly on track to meeting the target of having 14 Airbus A220-300 aircraft in the fleet by the end of this year.
On May 28, 2018, airBaltic announced a firm purchase agreement for the sale and purchase of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.
The order complements the existing order of 20 A220-300 aircraft and forms the backbone of the new airBaltic's business plan Destination 2025 that builds on the successful progress of the current airlines business plan Horizon 2021, which laid the groundwork for future expansion.
airBaltic was the launch carrier of the CS300 with its first CS300 on scheduled flights from December 14, 2016.
