Aug 02, 2018 (newstodate): Russia has seen the launch of a new all-cargo carrier, operating under the band name E-cargo.
Based at Moscow Vnukovo Airport, the fledgling carrier owned by Andrey Chuprov and managed by Alexey Gusev will operate leased Boeing 757-200F freighters primarily as capacity provider to other Russian carrier as well as operating own routes.
E-Cargo obtained its AOC on July 19, 2018, and performed its first commercial flight on July 24, 2018, from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Pevek on the Chukotka Peninsula.
In the fleet is now only one ex-United Airlines converted Boeing 757-200 aircraft but plans are to grow the fleet to five units of which one will be delivered already before the end of this year.
