Aug 06, 2018 (newstodate): A new carrier under formation, FlyBosnia has again had to postpone its launch of services, initially planned for June, 2018.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate for Civil Aviation has delayed the completion of the application process for FlyBosnia's AOC due to shortcomings in the documentation, and the first flight expected for August will now have to be moved again.
Already in May, the first batch of cabin and cockpit crew staff was certified and the airline plans start out with Airbus A320 aircraft first on routes from Sarajevo to Riyadh and Jedda, later adding also flights to other destinations to be announced once the AOC is secured.
Behind the new carrier is the al-Shiddi Group, the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006
