Aug 27, 2018 (newstodate): In summer 2019, Turkish Airlines is again to increase its frequency on passenger flights between Turkey and Lithuania.
The current plans for summer 2019 thus includes 10 weekly rotations on the route, against the current daily operations since March 25, 2018.
Turkish Airlines started operating to Estonia and Lithuania on June 11, 2013, when the carrier launched flights on a triangular route Istanbul-Vilnius-Tallinn-Istanbul.
Later, from October 26, 2014, Turkish Airlines split the triangular service, offering instead direct flights between Istanbul and Tallinn as well between Istanbul and Vilnius.
Riga in Latvia has been served directly from Istanbul since April 19, 2006, and now also with daily flights on the route.
With the first flight on April 19, 2018, Turkish Cargo is now also operating two weekly Airbus A330-200F flights through Vilnius Airport, coming in from Prague and returning to Istanbul after the call at Vilnius.
