Aug 16, 2018 (newstodate): Korean Air is readying for launch of services on a new route between Seoul and Zagreb, in Croatia.
The scheduled flights will commence from later this month with three weekly switching to Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from January 2, 2019.
In May 2018, the Korean ministry in charge of civil aviation granted traffic rights for Korean Air to launch services to the Balkan region, clearing Korean Air to start flights scheduled from Seoul to Croatia in 2018 with five weekly rotations.
Korean Air is, however, no newcomer to Croatia as the carrier has been operating seasonal summer flights to Croatia since 2014 - in summer 2018 serving the route between Seoul and Zagreb with seasonal flights using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Zagreb has actually been ranking #1 among destinations on Koran Air's Summer 2018 charter schedule, ahead of Oslo, Glasgow and Marseilles.
