Aug 07, 2018 (newstodate): First to connect Iceland and Israel with direct non-stop flights, WOW Air is pulling out from end of autumn 2018.
The carrier will perform its last flight on the route on October 25, 2018, ending a program currently offering three weekly rotations between Keflavik and Tel Aviv.
WOW Air entered the route on September 12, 2017, offering four weekly rotations, going down to three weekly rotations from October 31, 2017, reflecting seasonal fluctuations in market demands.
The route was designed to facilitate low-cost transit flights between North America and Israel via WOW Air's hub at Keflavik.
Connecting the Icelandic hub to Israel for the first time competing with El Al, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Air Canada, all in the air between Israel and North America, the Middle Eastern country became the low-cost carrier's 14th country market served from Keflavik - and the airport's 28th.
