Aug 01, 2018 (newstodate): Finland's Helsinki Airport saw its total cargo volumes up by a mere 1.3 percent, y-o-y, during the first half of 2018.
In January-June 2018, the airport handled a total of 91,845 tonnes of cargo, including 86,964 tonnes of international cargo that increased by 2.5 percent and 4,051 tonnes of international mail that dropped 12.8 percent.
Domestic cargo and mail volumes were also down by one-third during H1, 2018, to 1,192 tonnes.
Last year's H1 cargo performance by Helsinki Airport was also flat compared to the preceding year - up only 0.2 percent, y-o-y, indicating meager growth trends in cargo through Finland's capital airport.
