Aug 13, 2018 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier took delivery of its 10th new Airbus A220-300 aircraft on July 30, 2018 - and the 11th is currently amid its pre-delivery flight test program.
The carrier expects to have a total of 14 Airbus A220-300 aircraft in the fleet by the end of this year, and the three remaining aircraft are now also in production, separated from the 11th aircraft by only one delivery to Swiss.
On the production list are now also the coming next six aircraft for airBaltic, positioned only eight positions from the last three deliveries in 2018, and rounding off the fulfillment by the end of 2019 of the carrier's initial order totaling 20 aircraft.
Next to follow is then the start of deliveries under a fresh firm purchase agreement signed on May 28, 2018, for another batch of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.
