Aug 15, 2018 (newstodate): Without much ado, the Estonian regional freighter capacity provider Airest has now taken delivery of the first of four converted CRJ200 SF freighter aircraft equipped with large cargo door.
The aircraft has been acquired on a lease contract with US aircraft supplier Regional One, initially comprising one first aircraft but aiming at taking up to four aircraft after conversion.
The aircraft has been converted at Commercial Jets facility and was re-delivered to Regional One, making this carrier the first in Europe to operate this aircraft that will have the capacity of lifting up to 6.7 tonnes of cargo.
Based at Tallinn Airport and managed by Aleksei Lupitski as CEO, Airest operates a fleet comprising nine SAAB 340 aircraft including one aircraft in cargo configuration, and one Bombardier CRJ200SF.
