Aug 27, 2018 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has now taken delivery of its 11th new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Having performed its first flight on August 2, 2018, the aircraft was handed over to airBaltic on August 24 after completion of its flight test program.
The airline thus sticks to the plan of having a total of 14 Airbus QA220-300 aircraft in the fleet by the end of this year, with all 20 deliveries in its initial order completed by the end of 2019.
Next to follow is then the start of deliveries under a fresh firm purchase agreement signed on May 28, 2018, for another batch of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.
