Jul 30, 2018 (newstodate): The route connecting Sweden's Orebro and Copenhagen in Denmark proved to be a brief encounter.
Operating the route twice-daily with Embraer ERJ145 aircraft was the Estonian carrier Nordica that has however now suspended the services since July 2, 2018.
-Yes, we are stopping services on the Orebro-Copenhagen route. It was anyway on summer break and we have decided not to bring it back. All other routes continue as planned, said Sven Kukemelk, Nordica Exec Director Business Development, in a mail to newstodate on July 16.
The route was opened in Autumn 2015 and operated under a contract between the regional government and Nordica, but response in the market proved too weak to sustain continued traffic.
The aircraft used on the route from Orebro to Copenhagen was also operating the route between Copenhagen Airport and Groningen, in Holland, with 11 weekly rotations starting from September 19, 2016, and this route remains in the market after the closure of the flight from Orebro.
