Jul 03, 2018 (newstodate): Norway's Haugesund Karmoy Airport, today managed by Avinor, is to have new operators from Q1, 2019, and is already now preparing for fresh development.
As one sign of the coming new activities, the airport is seeking a Commercial Manager to initially manage the project for taking over the airport from Avinor including the transfer of concessions.
After that, the successful applicant will take responsibility for all commercial activities and marketing as well as identifying new business opportunities.
The coming new Commercial Manager will finally coordinate efforts by the route development team and take over communication with existing and new potential airline customers to build up new traffic at the airport.
Avinor has thus completed a process launched in November 2016 to find concessionaires to operate the state-owned airport - and new operators for a 20-year period are the Norwegian development organization, Lufthavnsutbyggning AS in cooperation with the Norwegian regional airline Wideroe.
