Jul 02, 2018 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund airport barely managed to report sustained cargo growth in June 2018, with volumes up only 0.5 percent, y-o-y.
A total of 6,093 tonnes was handled at the airport, including 1,927 tonnes of imports that dropped 4.6 percent in June, and 4,166 tonnes of exports that were however up three percent.
During the first six months of this year, the airport has thus seen a growth by 4.5 percent, y-o-y, to 35,687 tonnes including 12,137 tonnes of imports and 23,550 tonnes of exports, up 1.6 and six percent, respectively.
June 2017 was an especially strong month at Billund Airport, with imports rising 10.3 percent and exports up 19.1 percent.
The airport's H1 cargo figures might thus indicate that another record year could be within reach...
