Jun 06, 2018 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has now taken delivery of its third of four Boeing 777 aircraft sourced from Asiana Airlines.
The latest delivery was completed on June 5, 2018, and is now being readied for starting commercial service on the carrier's long-haul flights from Kiev to New York, Beijing, and Bangkok as of today.
The four aircraft have been sourced from Asiana Airlines and placed with Ukraine International Airlines in a lease agreement with AerCap.
The fourth - and final - Boeing 777 delivery is expected by the end of this summer.
The new aircraft will gradually replace the existing fleet of four Boeing 767 aircraft from 2019 and allow UIA to launch new intercontinental routes to destinations including Toronto and Shanghai.
