Jun 28, 2018 (newstodate): Denmark's Aalborg Airport, in the northern part of Jutland, has now obtained CAT III status effective from May 25, 2018.
Aalborg Airport is thus now operating a new ILS system implemented by Indra's Norwegian subsidiary, Indra Navia, upgrading to a CAT III airport.
This CAT III status marks an important step in improving flight efficiency at Aalborg Airport, which ranks as Denmark's third most busy airport after Copenhagen and Billund.
So far holding Category II and I classifications, Aalborg Airport with two runways at 2,654 and 2,549m, respectively, is housing both commercial and military traffic
