Jun 08, 2018 (newstodate): The new Swedish ACMI carrier under formation, ScanBlu is running behind schedule in its efforts to get airborne in time for the summer traffic.
While efforts by newstodate to reach the carrier have not succeeded, at least the Swedish regulator Transportstyrelsen confirms that an application from ScanBlu for issuance of an AOC is indeed under scrutiny while no expected date for completion of the investigation is announced.
ScanBlu's hopes were to have the first aircraft in the fleet as well as the AOC in place before the end of April - later extended into the cause of May which has, obviously, also not been met.
Managed by Christian Tadjeran as CEO and accountable manager, ScanBlu purports to be offering short and long-term ACMI capacity with a fleet initially comprising one Airbus A319 and, at as later stage, two Airbus A321 aircraft.
