Jun 05, 2018 (newstodate): Already strongly represented in the Asian market with non-stop flights from Helsinki, Finnair is deepening its Asian coverage through a new code-share agreement.
With effect from June 15, 2018, Finnair is thus to add its prefix to flights by Cathay Dragon, a Cathay Pacific Airline subsidiary, between Hong Kong and selected destinations in Asia.
The new code-share agreement will add four new destinations: Danang in Vietnam, Yangon in Myanmar, and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia, to Finnairs network in Asia, while Finnair will also code-share with Cathay Dragon on flights between Hong Kong and Hanoi that is already served by Finnair with non-stop flights from Helsinki since July 14, 2013.
In addition, subject to regulatory approval, from July 11, Finnair customers can also connect from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, that has actually long been on Finnair's wishing-list for own non-stop flights from Helsinki.
