Jun 22, 2018 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic took delivery of its 9th Bombardier CS300 aircraft on June 7, 2018 - but the next one is already in the pipeline..
The 10th CS300 has thus left the final assembly line and is now awaiting the first flights in the test program leading to a delivery flight into Riga Airport later this summer.
airBaltic plans to have 14 Bombardier CS300 aircraft in the fleet by the end of this year, growing to 20 in 2019 and completing the original order.
With its new purchase order announced on May 28, 2018, for another batch of 30 Bombardier CS300 aircraft plus options for a further 30 aircraft, Latvia's airBaltic has placed itself as the lead customer for this aircraft.
airBaltic was actually the launch carrier of the CS300 with the first CS300 on scheduled flights from December 14, 2016.
