Jun 07, 2018 (newstodate): The Icelandair Group's subsidiary Air Iceland Connect did not leave 2017 in high spirits.
The volume of passengers on a spree of routes decreased through the year, and in 2018 the total volume of flights will be reduced by some seven percent, y-o-y, while flights to the UK will be discontinued as well as flights between Reykjavik and Akureyri.
Due to this decline in operations, the carrier will dispose of one of its aircraft.
By the start of 2018, the fleet comprised three Bombardier Q400, delivered only in 2015-16, and two Dash-8 Q200 aircraft.
