Jun 07, 2018 (newstodate): Following on the reinforcement of US sanctions against Iran, Boeing has announced to deal with Iranian carriers to be annulled.
In April 2017, Iran Air signed contracts with Boeing for a total of 80 aircraft including 50 Boeing 737Max, 15 Boeing 777-300ER and 15 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, and another 60 aircraft to Aseman Airlines comprising 30 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with deliveries to start from 2022 and options for a further 30 aircraft.
Boeing has now declared that it has not delivered any of these aircraft, and will not proceed with the contract.
