Jun 25, 2018 (newstodate): The Norwegian carrier Wideroe has now taken delivery of its 3rd Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.
With the first delivery on April 3, 2018, Wideroe became the world's first operator of this new type of aircraft, and with the third delivery completed on June 23, 2018, the firm order placed in January 2017 is now accomplished.
Wideroe still holds purchase rights for a further 12 E2 family aircraft.
Besides serving own routes, Wideroe is also operating the Embraer E190-E2 for Finnair on routes from Bergen and Tromsoe, and the initial cooperation has later been expanded by new code-shares with Finnair on nine routes served by Wideroe including flights from Bodoe, Kristiansund and Kirkenes, as well as other, smaller airports in Norway.
