May 02, 2018 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air has again announced the opening of yet another route to Iceland.
Starting from June 2018, the carrier will be offering four weekly rotations on the new route from London Luton to Keflavik Airport with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Wizz Air first entered the Icelandic market with flights from Gdansk, in Poland, from June 19, 2015, adding flights from Warsaw, in Poland, to Keflavik from May 13, 2016, and from Budapest from March 30, 2016.
Since May 28, 2016, Wizz Air has been operating flights to Iceland from Riga in Latvia; from March 26, 2017, the carrier added operations between Katowice, in Poland, and Keflavik, offering two weekly rotations, and starting from May 31, 2017, Wizz Air launched flights from Prague in the Czech Republic to Iceland - and starting from March 31, 2017, the carrier offers three weekly rotations on the seasonal route between Poznan and Keflavik.
Another novelty in 2018 has been Wizz Air's new route to Keflavik from Vienna, with three weekly rotations to Keflavik from March 23, 2018.
