May 01, 2018 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has signed an agreement with Boeing for delivery of one additional Boeing 787-8 aircraft beyond its existing orders.
The carrier now expects to take in its third Boeing 787-8 aircraft by mid-May 2018.
Uzbekistan Airways received its first Boeing 787-8 aircraft on August 31, 2016, with the second delivered on November 5, and in 2016 the carrier placed a new order for another three aircraft of the larger type, the Boeing 787-9.
With this latest addition, the carrier plans to have six Boeing 787 aircraft in the fleet by the end of 2020.
