May 01, 2018 (newstodate): Small Planet Airlines Germany, the German subsidiary of Lithuania's charter and ACMI provider, is to base one Airbus A320 aircraft at Cologne/Bonn Airport.
The carrier will be opening traffic on six new routes on behalf of FTI Touristik, with flights starting on May 1 with a weekly service to Agadir.
Routes to Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Rhodes and Antalya will follow in quick succession and with the exception of the Egyptian links being a twice-weekly service, the remaining three routes will be operated once-weekly.
Established in May 2015 and in the air from summer 2016 with two Airbus A320 aircraft in the fleet, Small Planet Airlines Germany will be operating 10 aircraft in this summer's schedule, including two A321 and eight A320 aircraft on German registration.
In the summer 2017 program, the carrier operated four aircraft, planning to grow the fleet to "at least" six Airbus A320 Family aircraft from Summer 2018 - but these expectations were thus markedly over-fulfilled.
