May 16, 2018 (newstodate): A new express cargo product in the pipeline of SAS Cargo is currently being tested by a few select Norwegian freight forwarders prior to the official launch.
News of the coming new product was first broken by Leif Rasmussen, SAS Cargo CEO, speaking at the Nordic Air Cargo Symposium in Stockholm on April 17, 2018.
According to Mr Rasmussen, the new product will be introduced first in Scandinavia before being rolled out in other markets.
-The new express product is now in the pilot test phase as we want it to be fully developed before releasing it to the market. Test results are promising and we look forward to go public once all snags have been corrected, says Alexandra Kaoukji, SAS Cargo Communications Manager.
While Norway has been selected as the testing ground, the coming new express cargo product is not targeting any specific market segments such as the seafood air logistics.
