May 30, 2018 (newstodate): Korean Air is preparing for launch of scheduled services on a new European route.
The carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route between Seoul Incheon and Zagreb Airport, starting from September 1, 2018, while this has still to be officially confirmed.
According to industry sources, the flights will be routed via Zurich during the coming winter schedule.
Korean Air paid its first-ever visit to a Croatian airport in 2010, operating two chartered Boeing 777 flights from Seoul to Zagreb Airport carrying Korean and other Asian tourists to visit the country.
Korean Air has since been operating seasonal summer charter flights to Zagreb, in 2018 operating the flights with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Zagreb ranks #1 among destinations on Koran Air's Summer 2018 charter schedule, ahead of Oslo, Glasgow and Marseilles.
