May 16, 2018 (newstodate): As of today, Korean Air Cargo has introduced the Boeing 747-8F freighter at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
So far, the route has been operated with Boeing 777F aircraft with two weekly services from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Seoul Incheon.
-Stockholm Arlanda Airport has seen a big upswing in cargo volumes and Korean Air Cargo, as one of the main freighter operators in Stockholm, is now adding capacity by operating the 747-8 instead of the regular Boeing 777F freighter, says Bas van Goch, Stockholm Arlanda Airport Cargo Operations Manager.
Earlier serving the Swedish market by its operations at Copenhagen Airport, Korean Air Cargo launched direct freighter services between Stockholm Arlanda and Seoul Incheon on August 24, 2006, with two weekly Boeing 747-400F flights and has since been operating between two and three weekly flights on the route.
