May 16, 2018 (newstodate): Long rumored, but a fact: the Icelandic LCC WOW Air is to launch flights on a new route between Keflavik and Delhi from December 6, 2018.
WOW Air will be offering five weekly rotations on the route with its coming new Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, of which the carrier has so far ordered four with deliveries to start before the end of 2018 - in time for the new route opening.
Already in January 2019, frequency will go up to five weekly rotations, and then growing to daily as the market develops
The aim is to provide smooth one-stop connections via Iceland between Delhi and so far nine US destinations including Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, San Francisco, Los Angeles and St. Louis.
