May 17, 2018 (newstodate): Armenia will be happy to see the return of Czech services at the country's Yerevan Zvartnots Airport this summer.
CSA has announced its return of services from June 8, 2018, after a lapse of four years as the carrier pulled out from the market in October 2014 due to decreasing demand caused by the crisis with Russia and low currency rates.
The return is only seasonal, however, as CSA plans to stop again from September 7 unless the market says otherwise..
CSA first launched services Between Prague and Yerevan in July 2003 with two weekly rotations using Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
No less than 12 airlines have made their calls at Armenia's Yerevan Zvartnots Airport in 2017-18, including Armenia Aircompany, Brussels Airlines, Qatar Airways, Wataniya Airways, Germania, Arkia Israeli Airlines, Cham Wings, Air Cairo, Turkmenistan Airlines, Red Wings, Nordwind Airlines and Pobeda.
As of now, a total of 23 airlines are thus operating flights into Yerevan Zvartnots Airport that has one 3,280m ILS Cat II runway
