May 28, 2018 (newstodate): The Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines is indeed to launch twice-weekly flights to Copenhagen from this summer 2018.
The carrier is currently opening "new A330 Captain Position for Sichuan Airlines to fly to Copenhagen, Prague, Melbourne, Sydney & more", as stated in an advertisement on the UK-based pilot recruitment site FlightJobs.
Actually, the carrier now claims an overseas destinations network including Vancouver, Melbourne, Sydney, Moscow, Dubai, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, Prague, Cairo and Los Angeles - and Copenhagen.
Sichuan Airlines will thus be the second Chinese carrier to launch flights to Copenhagen Airport where Air China will start operations from Beijing on May 30, 2018, with four weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, while the Hong Kong-based carrier Cathay Pacific is already online at Copenhagen Airport since May 1, 2018, with three weekly rotations.
Sizhuan Airlines will operate its flights to Copenhagen from Chengdu, the capital of Sizhuan Province, thus opening a new market for flights between China and Scandinavia.
Copenhagen Airport will be Sichuan Airlines' second European destination after the opening of flights on February 25, 2016, on the route between Chengdu in China and Prague Airport with two weekly rotations served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
