May 29, 2018 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines will become the second non-Faroese carrier to offer flights to the Faroe Islands from June 15, 2018.
Sort of, at least: the carrier has expanded its code-share agreement with Star Alliance partner SAS to cover also flights by SAS from Copenhagen to Vagar, on the Faroe islands, and Riga in Latvia, as well as from Stockholm to Riga and Vaasa, in Finland.
This will further add to the competition on air traffic between Denmark and the Faroese Islands that was provided only by Atlantic Airways until SAS entered the scene with its first flight on March 27, 2017.
