Apr 23, 2018 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has unveiled a plan for expansion to take place over the coming few years.
Speaking at a press conference in Kiev, the company's renowned head of the supervisory board Aron Mayberg said new destinations will be added over the next five years as more aircraft capacity is added to the fleet.
Among the new routes to be launched from Kiev this year are flight to Copenhagen, in 2019 flights will commence to Oslo, and in 2021 flights will be added to to Tallinn.
As for the Ukrainian flights to Copenhagen, the carrier planned to offer four weekly rotations from already from the end of March 2018, which was however never realized, plans flights to Oslo were earlier planned to start from end of March 2018, and flights to Tallinn by UIA were launched from the start of the summer 2011 schedule with four weekly flights, but later suspended again.
In the meantime, the Estonian carrier Nordica is readying for launch of services between Tallinn and Kiev, with the first flights on April 27, 2018.
