Apr 10, 2018 (newstodate): The future of the Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal seems quite uncertain as the carrier has now announced a third wave of route suspensions, citing "operational changes".
Latest cancellations concern all flights between Istanbul and Ercan Airport, on Northern Cyprus, as well as flights to Ercan Airport from Turkish destinations Adana and Izmir.
Earlier, AtlasGlobal announced the suspension of flights to Hamburg, Zurich, Tbilisi, Mohachkale, Krasnodal and Zaporozhye from the end of April, and before that flights to Ukraine, Kharkov, Lviv and Chimkent were suspended, and flights on routes to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Aktau were also stopped.
So far, the airline has announced the suspensions to remain in place till the end of this summer schedule, but no indication of the carrier's future after the start of the winter schedule has been offered.
As of January 2018, AtlasGlobal, until March 2015 trading under the name of Atlasjet, operated a fleet comprising 23 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
