Apr 05, 2018 (newstodate): Sukhoi has now launched the project for a smaller version of the Superjet 100 aircraft, offering 75 seats.
And the project seems to be strongly supported from the start, as the Russian airline S7 Sibir Airlines is placing an order for no less than 75aircraft of the new version.
From official Russian side, the launch is also boosted by an order for 30 aircraft for Russia's air force, and another batch of 10 aircraft to be allocated to Rossiya's Special Flight Detachment serving the Russian government.
So far, the Superjet 100 program has landed a total of 200 firm orders, and options for a further 38 aircraft.
