Apr 16, 2017 (newstodate): Russia's St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport is adding one more Chinese destination to its geographical reach from summer 2018.
With the first flight on May 2, 2018, China Eastern Airlines is launching flights on the route to St Petersburg from Shanghai via Xian with twice-weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Throughout 2017, three Chinese carriers performed direct flights between St Petersburg and three points in China: Hainan Airlines to Beijing, China Southern Airlines to Urumqi, and China Eastern Airlines to Shanghai.
And as earlier announced, Sichuan Airlines commenced scheduled service between St Petersburg and the capital of the Chinese province of Sichuan, Chengdu with the first flight on January 26, 2018.
