Apr 06, 2018 (newstodate): Ryanair's plans for a new charter subsidiary in Poland, Ryanair Sun are now on firm ground, with the first commercial flight slated for April 26, 2018.
Ryanair Sun has been granted its Polish AOC on April 3, 2018, and so far one Boeing 737 aircraft has been placed on Polish registration.
Starting out from the Summer 2018 schedule, Ryanair Sun will initially have a fleet of five Boeing 737-800 aircraft based at Katowice, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw and operating flights on behalf of tour operators TUI and Poznan's Grecos Holidays to leisure destinations primarily in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and other Mediterranean destinations.
Ambitions are to grow Ryanair Sun's fleet to 15 aircraft in 2019 and to 25 in 2020.
