Apr 24, 2018 (newstodate): The Danish carrier and ACMI operator DAT is preparing to take delivery of two new Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
One Airbus A320 will join the fleet to replace one A320 by the expiry its lease period.
This aircraft, formerly operated by Citilink, arrived at Denmark's Billund Airport on April 22, 2018, and is now being readied for entry into service during the coming summer peak.
The first Airbus A321 to join the fleet of DAT has been operating for the Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines and is yet to make its entry at Billund Airport to take up service with DAT.
DAT actually planned to expand its fleet with introduction of the Airbus A321 aircraft already before summer 2015.
-We have, however, decided not to add the A321 at the moment, DAT CEO Jesper Rungholm told newstodate on February 2, 2015.
-We have realized that this would put excessive stress on the organization at the time, ahead of the coming busy summer season, so plans have been postponed while not shelved, said Mr Rungholm.
So, the plans are now finally off the shelf..
