Apr 25, 2018 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is back into its 3rd destination in Russia: Kazan.
Opening flights on the route in 2017, airBaltic is now again offering two weekly rotations during the summer 2018 schedule between Riga and Kazan with Boeing 737 aircraft.
airBaltic is also operating flights from Riga Airport to Moscow and St Petersburg.
Last year's flights between Riga and Kazan were driven primarily by Russian passengers transiting at Riga Airport for onward flights on airBaltic's European route network, but in 2018 the traffic will also serve European passengers for events during the forthcoming FIFA 2018 World Cup.
