Apr 30, 2018 (newstodate): The ownership of Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta Airport has changed hands again-again.
New owner is the French company VINCI Airports that has added nine new airports to its portfolio, including Stockholm Skavsta Airport where it is to hold a stake of 90.1 of the shares.
Seller is the US company ADC & HAS Airports Worldwide that took over a majority stake at close to 90 percent in Skavsta Airport on October 1, 2013, with the regional government maintaining the remainder of the shares.
Before that, the airport was owned by the Spanish company abertis since 2005, when the company and Aena Internacional purchased the British operator TBI.
Airlines operating at the airport are mainly low-cost carriers Wizz Air, and Ryanair.
In 2017, 2.132.072 passengers were handled at Stockholm Skavsta Airport up 5.1 percent, y-o-y, with commercial aircraft movements rising also 3,3 percent.
