Apr 23, 2018 (newstodate): After sniffing at the Kazakh market in connection to the World Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan, Finnair is now planning for opening scheduled flights to Astana.
Finnair operated two weekly flights between Helsinki and Astana from June 20 to August 11, 2017, using airbus A319 aircraft.
The airline is now to resume flights again starting from July 3, 2018, again using Airbus 319 aircraft on the route.
The news has been announced by the Civil Aviation Committee of the Investments and Development Ministry of Kazakhstan while still not officially confirmed by Finnair.
A meeting of the Kazakh-Finnish working group on transport and logistics has been held at Helsinki to prepared the text of a new Air services Agreement, scheduled to be signed in May 2018.
