The airport thus noted a drop in March 2018 by 9.5 percent, y-o-y, in total volumes at 5,962 tonnes including 1,884 tonnes of imports, down 19.5 percent, and 4,078 tonnes of exports, down four percent.
Volumes in this year's first quarter thus accrued to 17,601 tonnes, an increase by 4.1 percent, including 6,030 tones of imports up 2.4 percent and 11,571 tonnes of exports that increased by five percent, y-o-y.
While the official holiday starting on February 16, 2018, lasted only for one week, it stretches over a three-week period into March as well.
Besides the Chinese New Year, this year's Easter also sliced a few days off the production in March 2018.
