Apr 27, 2018 (newstodate): In the first quarter of 2018, the three international airports in the Moscow region handled a total of 107,650 tonnes of cargo.
This was an increase by 6.5 percent, y-o-y.
The largest in terms of cargo volumes was Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport with 64,963 tonnes, an increase by 6.9 percent.
Second largest was Moscow Domodedovo Airport with 28,184 tonnes, down 0.2 percent, y-o-y.
Moscow Vnukovo Airport increased the most during Q1, 2018, with a growth by 19.9 percent, y-o-y, to 14,503 tonnes.
Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport was also up on postal volumes, handling a total of 8,976 tonnes, an increase by 20 percent, while postal volumes were down by 10.8 percent to 5,799 tones at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, and volumes also dropped 15.2 percent to 2,429 tonnes at Moscow Vnukovo Airport.
