Apr 13, 2018 (newstodate): After a weak start to 2018 in January, Estonia's Tallinn Airport has caught up on air cargo volumes in Q1, 2018.
In March, a total of 1,062 tonnes of cargo was handled, an increase by 26.5 percent, following on a growth by 25.1 percent in February.
The growth in March was driven by a 41 percent rise in cargo volumes, to 874 tonnes, while mail volumes dipped by five percent to 188 tonnes.
Also in March, both export cargo and import cargo increased, up 31 and 40.4 percent, y-o-y, respectively.
Q1 volumes have thus gone up by 6.8 percent, y-o-y, to 2,828 tonnes, including 2,297 tonnes of cargo and 531 tonnes of mail.
