Apr 23, 2018 (newstodate): BGS, Baltic Ground Services has landed Turkish Cargo as a new customer for ground handling at Vilnius Airport.
On April 19, 2918, Turkish Cargo started its twice-weekly Airbus A330-200F operation at Vilnius Airport and BGS's five-year contract comprises ground handling and fueling of the aircraft.
Turkish Airlines is already a customer for ground handling at Vilnius Airport where the carrier first launched flights on a triangular service Istanbul-Tallinn-Vilnius on June 11, 2013, later splitting the service into dedicated flights to Vilnius and Tallinn from October 26, 2014.
Expanding rapidly over the last few years, GSA now provides ground handling services at 16 airports in Europe and is planning to move into the Asian markets already from 2018.
