Apr 03, 2018 (newstodate): With the first flight on March 18, 2018, Silk Way West Airlines is back in the Hungarian cargo market.
The carrier is now offering two weekly rotations between Budapest Airport and Baku Airport, in Azerbaijan, using Boeing 747-8 freighters on the route.
Silk Way West Airlines first started operations between Baku, Azerbaijan, and Budapest Airport in March 2014, operating a Boeing 767-300F aircraft twice weekly on the route but replacing the 767 with Boeing 747-400F from the end of the year.
Flights were suspended in 2016, but Silk Way West Airlines is now back in the market responding to the growing demand for uplift of commodities in the e-trade business.
