Mar 02, 2018 (newstodate): Responding to a decline in revenues in 2017, Aeroflot has rescheduled its plans for aircraft deliveries in 2018.
The carrier will thus push back delivery of five Airbus A350-900 aircraft from 2018 to 2019, and 13 Airbus A321 out of a pool of 25 aircraft will leave the carrier as the financial ease periods expire.
On the other hand, Aeroflot will take delivery of five, instead of four, new Airbus A321 in 2018 as well as 11 instead of only 10 new Airbus A320 and re-deliver nine A320 aircraft.
In 2018, the carrier will also take delivery of 20 Boeing 737NG aircraft as well as one Boeing 777, and 13 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
In total, Aeroflot will deter deliveries of 16 western-built aircraft in 2018 as part of its fleet re-assessment.
