Mar 06, 2018 (newstodate): The world's largest Boeing 757 operator, Icelandair has added another stretched Boeing 757 aircraft to its fleet.
By March 1, 2018, the carrier took delivery of its third Boeing 757-300 aircraft that carries 200 passengers, 40 more than the Boeing 757-200 aircraft it will replace in Icelandair's fleet.
Icelandair now operates a total of 34 aircraft including 26 Boeing 757-200, three Boeing 757-300, one Boeing 737 MAX 8 and four Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.
The fleet will be replenished in 2018 with start of deliveries of nine Boeing 737 MAX 8, the first of which was delivered on March 3, 2018, and seven Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
In addition to the passenger aircraft fleet, Icelandair also operates two Boeing 757-200 freighters.
